Rome Winter Cyclocross Series 2011

The Rome Winter Cyclocross Series will be back in 2011 and better than ever. This year will bring a new venue to the series: Lock & Dam Park, 9 miles south of Rome and minutes from Dave’s place on Eden Valley.

With at least 3 venue options, we can bring diversity to the series, while keeping costs low. We will also be fully sanctioned by GBRA and USA Cycling in 2011. While this means more structure, it will not mean less FUN.

Trey and I are continually working out details and new ideas for how to make the series better. So even though January is still pretty far away, keep us in mind for a great cross experience in always changing weather conditions.

Cyclcocross in Georgia will be bigger than ever with at least 3 series taking place from August to February. With nationals moving to January and the world championships for masters and professionals following suite in a year, we hope to provide a launching pad for local heroes and pros looking to hold form.

Soon leaves will be falling and the air will turn crisp. Stay hungry.
